On Wednesday 23 October, four students from our school participated in the 2013 Sydney Region Public Speaking Competition at Earlwood Public School. The four students who represented our school were:
Michaela L, Early Stage 1
Angelina T, Stage 1
Tia B, Stage 2
Lucas G, Stage 3
All students presented their speech in front of parents, caregivers, students and teachers.
Michaela's topic was 'My Dog'. She did a wonderful job as she spoke clearly and fluently.
Angelina's topic was 'The Life Cycle of a Frog'. She demonstrated self-confidence and maturity.
Tia competed in the Stage 2 competition. Her topic was 'Nutrition and how to be healthy'. Tia did a fantastic job and was awarded the 'highly commended' award.
Lucas's topic was 'Life in the backseat of the family'. He spoke with expression and confidence.
All four students spoke really well and did a great job. All teachers at McCallums Hill Public School are extremely proud of the students who represented our school.Well done!
