Premier's Debating Challenge Rd 2

On Wednesday 5 June McCallums Hill Public School Premier's debaters had their second debate for 2013. McCallums Hill Premier's debaters were debating against Rockdale 2 Premier's debaters at McCallums Hill Public School.

The topic was ‘That we should ban school children from owning smartphones and tablets' and we were the affirmative team.

Our speakers were:

1^st speaker: Liliana. G.

2^nd speaker: Zacharaia. F.

3^rd speaker: Lukas G.

Team Advisor: Georgia. P.

They did not win the debate, however the debaters spoke really well and our rebuttals were well thought out.  The students had some good arguments for the topic and thoroughly enjoyed their time and experience.

The students received the topic one hour prior to the debate and had to each prepare a 4 minute speech without any teacher assistance.

Both Mrs Halabi & Mrs Vajdevski are extremely proud of our debaters and we look forward to future debates.
