On Thursday 13 June four students from our school participated in the Multicultural Perspectives Public Speaking Competition at Padstow Park Public School. The four students who represented our school were:
Panagiota M, Year 3
Anthea N, Year 4
Zachariah F, Year 5
Aneet B, Year 5
In the Stage 2 competition, Panagiota and Anthea presented their speech in front of parents, caregivers, teachers and 13 other students in the South Western Sydney Region.
Panagiota's topic was 'Every family has a story'. She did a wonderful job and spoke clearly. As a result, she came in at 3rd place!
Anthea's topic was 'Racism and Bullying'. She did a fantastic job and won the Stage 2 competition!! Anthea will now progress to the regional finals, which will be held in week 4 & 5 of Term 3.
Zachariah and Aneet competed in the Stage 3 competition. Zachariah's topic was 'The same but different'. He spoke with expression and confidence.
Aneet's topic was 'Religion'. She spoke clearly, fluently and confidently.
All four students spoke really well and did a great job. All the teachers at McCallums Hill Public School are extremely proud of the students who represented our school. Well done!!
